Paul Hartgen is the vice president of member and business services at the National Association of Manufacturers. In this role, he is focused on the NAM’s product and service offerings, especially to small and medium-sized members, to deliver more explicit value beyond policy.Before joining the NAM, Mr. Hartgen was a special adviser to the National Restaurant Association, providing strategic consulting, knowledge management and new channel development to increase the organization’s membership. He worked with the NRA Educational Foundation to build strategic partnerships and grow ProStart®, a culinary arts and management program geared toward high school juniors and seniors.Mr. Hartgen holds a B.A. in political science from the University of New Hampshire. He lives with his wife, Beth, and their two daughters outside of Annapolis, Maryland.

Wendee Wood

Wendee Wood is the National Multiple Employer Solution Product Leader for Mercer. Ms. Wood is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of delivering Health Plans to Associations, Franchise Organizations, PEOs and other groups of small employers.Ms. Wood joined Marsh & McLennan Companies in 2001 to develop the group personal lines operations. During her tenure over personal lines, sales increased by 242%. Ms. Wood assumed responsibility for the Program and Franchise business which grew nearly 500% in revenue during her leadership. Ms. Wood has over 20 years of experience successfully growing Affinity programs. Ms. Wood has held key leadership roles within Operations, Sales and Relationship Management.Ms. Wood has more than 20 years in Life and Health, personal lines, and commercial P&C experience. Prior to working for Marsh & McLennan Companies, she served as operations manager for Brown & Brown, focusing on new business P&C development.
