As PMMI continues to work with industry leaders to build the pipeline of skilled future employees in the packaging industry, the PACK Challenge aims to promote and inspire students to learn more about the packaging sector.

PACK Challenge is a real-world, end-to-end competition at PACK EXPO International that requires collaboration, creativity, innovation, process, design, build, programming, debug, marketing and field installation knowledge – all put to the test in a competition format!

🌟 Announcing the Finalists: PACK Challenge Innovation Competition 🌟

We are excited to announce the finalists of the 2024 PACK Challenge Competition! Students were tasked with enhancing the production efficiency of denesting and orientating paper coffee cups for customers. The teams met the engineering challenge and showcased their marketing skills in presenting their designs to judges acting as potential customers.

The finalists are gearing up for the finale that will take place at PACK EXPO International from November 3 – 6. 2024, in Chicago, IL. Here, they will be evaluated on their final design, incorporating a sustainability component, operator training, and complete successful runs of the coffee cups, including a changeover. The winning team will gain recognition for their innovation and secure the opportunity to showcase their design next year at PACK EXPO Las Vegas!
