PMMI has partnered with the Manufacturing Institute to help connect veterans looking for career opportunities with PMMI members.

Every year, nearly 200,000 men and women transition out of the military, looking for assistance in finding a new career in manufacturing, utilizing their talents and providing growth opportunities. Heroes MAKE America provides integrated certification and career-readiness training in partnership with local community colleges to prepare transitioning service members, veterans, National Guard members, reservists and military spouses for rewarding careers in manufacturing.

As a Heroes MAKE America partner, PMMI’s member companies receive exclusive access to numerous recruitment events:

Virtual Career Fairs

Virtual career fair for where up to 30 member companies have a breakout room to promote their company and career opportunities.

In-Person Career Fairs

In-person events at participating U.S. military bases where members can promote themselves and their company’s career opportunities.

Resume Database

Resumes from transitioning veterans, veterans, National Guard reserves, and military spouses. (Updated monthly).

Virtual Workshops

Learn best practices for recruiting and hiring veterans from the Manufacturing Institute as well as companies that have had success using the Heroes MAKE America program.

Heroes Connect

Virtual opportunity for 3-4 member companies to speak to veterans in training programs about the industry, their company, the products their machines help produce, and career opportunities.
