Today, the Federal Register Notice published notices for Section 232 tariff action for steel and aluminum imports. The only PMMI related HS code included in the notices is HS 8422.90.064 (Parts for household dishwashing machines) and is subject to an additional 25% tariff. Most PMMI machinery codes are not included in the notices for steel and aluminum Section 232 action.
Please note that the Section 232 action does include numerous HS codes for steel and aluminum derivatives, parts, and equipment, and may still impact PMMI members which import products under HS codes subject to tariff action.
