June 13, 2023

Herndon, VA.; June 13, 2023 EXPO PACK Guadalajara (June 13–15; Expo Guadalajara Convention Center, Jalisco) opened its doors today as the largest, most comprehensive packaging and processing show in Mexico and the Latin American region, reported show producer, PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies. With nearly 700 exhibiting companies showcasing solutions over 15,000 square meters of sold-out exhibit space, this year’s event marks the largest in its history.

After a four-year hiatus, EXPO PACK Guadalajara brings together packaging and processing professionals from more than 40 vertical markets, to explore the latest trends and advancements in packaging and processing technology, all under one roof.

"EXPO PACK Guadalajara is a testament to our commitment to promoting excellence and innovation in the packaging and processing sector. The depth and breadth of this year’s show is unmatched," says EXPO PACK Director Celia Navarrete. "We are thrilled to bring this prestigious exhibition back to Guadalajara, a vibrant city known for its manufacturing prowess and forward-thinking mindset. This event will serve as a catalyst for growth and collaboration within the packaging and processing industry, fostering connections that will drive the future of packaging and processing in the region and beyond."

EXPO PACK Guadalajara features a comprehensive exhibit hall, where exhibitors present a wide range of cross-over solutions spanning packaging, processing, and logistics, all in one place. This year’s event gives attendees the most efficient way to explore the latest advancements in packaging and processing machinery, materials, labeling, coding, printing, automation, sustainability technologies, and more.

Offering international solutions for this expanding market, EXPO PACK Guadalajara features eight International Pavilions representing: Argentina, Canada, China, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, and the United States. The PMMI Pavilion spans 2,233.5 total square meters (24,000 square feet) and showcases 95 PMMI members. The show features a total of 175 PMMI members exhibiting throughout the show floor from across North America poised to bring innovative equipment, materials, containers, components, and services to this dynamic market.

With sustainability top of mind for packaging and processing decision-makers, the EXPO PACK Verde program promotes the development of sustainable solutions and recognizes these innovations by displaying the EXPO PACK Verde icon next to exhibitor listings and with signs in booths. Attendees simply need to look for the EXPO PACK Verde logo to identify exhibitors showcasing sustainable products and services such as renewable materials, biodegradable packaging, packaging reduction processes, recyclable and recycled-content materials, or technology that reduces the carbon footprint.

To complement the dynamic exhibit floor, EXPO PACK Guadalajara in conjunction with Mundo PMMI offers an extensive educational program spotlighting the latest technologies and industry trends. These sessions cover relevant topics such as sustainability, leadership, and the Industrial Internet of Things. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, exchange ideas, and stay ahead of the industry's latest concerns.

"We believe that knowledge-sharing and collaboration are crucial for the sustainable growth of the packaging and processing industry," Navarrete adds. "With our diverse education program, we aim to empower attendees with the tools and insights they need to navigate the ever-changing industry landscape successfully."

This not-to-miss educational program features keynote presentations from leading companies such as Walmart, Kraft, Heinz Mexico, and Casa Herradura (Brown-Forman), among others. Additionally, the Packaging and Processing Women’s Leadership Network will hold its first keynote address in Guadalajara, sponsored by Polypack, to discuss timely issues facing women in the industry. Keynote sessions start at 9 a.m. each day before the show opens and are free for attendees and exhibitors.

Additionally, show attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and ground-breaking solutions from exhibitors at 15 Innovation Stage sessions. These 30-minute, on-floor presentations are free for all attendees and will feature experts describing new technology, innovative applications, case studies, and best practices.
