Still Time to Register for Automation World Conference & Expo

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In a little under two weeks, the Automation World Conference & Expo (May 14-15; Chicago Marriott O’Hare) will offer industry-leading keynote addresses from a Who’s Who of the manufacturing sector including Subaru, Interstates Control Systems and the OpX Leadership Group with Trelleborg and BWI Group opening each day’s conference.

In their Tuesday session opening the event, Tom Norbut, PMP, Manager of IoT infrastructure and manufacturing networks, and Tanja K. Malesevic, Manufacturing Excellence Officer, at Trelleborg will share their experience in preparing the global polymer provider for the digital manufacturing future. The pair will also provide critical insights into the required connections between IT and operations to facilitate the adoption of IIoT technologies and processes.

Bill Taylor, Controls Engineering Supervisor at the BWI Group Technical Center, kicks off Wednesday’s keynote session. Taylor will explain how the company evaluated automation hardware and software to meet critical metrics associated with cost reduction and downtime at its new Indiana facility. A global, Tier-1 supplier of suspension, brakes, and chassis components to many major automotive manufacturers, the new manufacturing facility, which is closer to its North American customers, was BWI Group‘s response to rapidly growing customer sales and increasing volumes.

Also presenting are Land O’ Frost, H.B. Fuller and Delta Systems & Automation.

Now in its ninth year, the Automation World Conference & Expo is the leading peer-to-peer educational and networking event for industrial automation professionals in the discrete manufacturing, packaging and processing industries. Featuring general sessions delivered by end users from multiple industries, the event also includes in-depth technology workshops and tabletop exhibits staffed by experts.

The 2019 program will explore how companies are using robotics and automation; the Industrial Internet of Things/Industry 4.0; wearable devices, augmented and virtual reality; cybersecurity; virtual machine design, workforce development and more.

Scheduled for May 14-15 at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare, the Automation World Conference & Expo is produced by PMMI Media Group, a division of PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, and publishers of Automation World and Packaging World.
